Gang Warfare

There is discussion regarding what should be done about the one million plus gangsters in our country and overcrowding in our jails. Politicians, Church leaders, and law enforcement officials say gifts, money, jobs, community involvement and caring is needed to stop gang terrorists and violence. Poverty, schools, and jobs are excuses, not causes.

January 7, 2007: In the guest column in the Daily Bulletin(www.dailybulletin.com/), Pomona Ca. Police Chief Joe Romero asks "something must be done - the question is what?".

January 17, 2007 Los Angeles Times: One Latino gang says they'll open their territory to all residents if similar access is granted in the African American gang controlled part of the neighborhood.
The gangs told the city to use its eminent domain powers to accumulate land for a recreation center. They also told the city to invest in their neighborhood and halt a proposed gang injunction.
"The only way the truce is going to hold is if city leaders bring in more resources," A gang member said.

The Facts Are
Gangs, quite often, are better armed than our police are and asking the community citizens to take care of law enforcement is fantasy. Gang terrorism is not going to be solved by sermons or passing the buck.

Gangs are not going to stop holding the taxpayers up because we excuse them, pray for them, give them million-dollar gymnasiums and free rein to continue their terror. These gangsters are at war against American society, and Americans need to fight back and regain our rights to be free of this scourge.

The so-called "civilized" prefer to ignore the problem. A common belief seems to be that gang members are just misunderstood children. Far from it. Most gang members are adults and are very much aware of the fear and destruction they cause. Even a 14-year-old gangbanger knows right from wrong, and if they should choose Death Row, so be it.

Rape, drive-by shootings, drug use, destruction of private and public property, tagging, intimidation, fear, and ignoring society's laws are all part of a gang member's makeup. There can be no excuses for the war the gangs have declared on this country. There is no such thing as a good gangster except in the movies. Even the religious tattoos etched on their skin are appalling. There is nothing moral, ethical, or worth salvaging from these terrorists.

Like vermin, gang members only breed more of the same. Those believing there might be some worth saving, may pay the expense of keeping them if so desired, but put and keep them behind bars until they can be disposed of.

Common Sense Solutions Are Right At Hand
Space can be made available by giving those convicted on death-row, execution.
There is no redeeming quality to be found in these gangsters. Kissing them has not proved effective.

Our government has made available to law enforcement the means to arrest these terrorists, without cause and with no due process of law, and detain in a foreign prison. It's time our law enforcement has the brass to use this ruling to the benefit rather than the detriment of this nation.

The war America should be involved in and winning is not a war in a far-away land, it is the war against gangs and those giving aid to the million gang members within our own country.

Politics and Useless Studies

Responding to the forecast of Federal funding to allow agencies to apply for grants of $30,000 to $200,000 to fight gangs as part of President Bush's proposed 2008 budget.

This might pay for perhaps one more local committee study, but this infusion of funds will serve no purpose in stopping gang activity. It could not even pay for the training of one new police officer.

Los Angeles already spends more than $80 million annually on anti-gang programs, and may ask voters to approve a $50 million property tax to fund more programs.

L A County spokesman Steve Whitmore says, "We welcome any new funds to address the county gang crisis."

These new funds will create another task force and study, more gang reports, a panel to apply for more grants for more studies.

Just how do those, that "We The People" have put into office, expect a report to stop gangs? It won't, and any public official that can think, knows it won't.

The attorney general established an anti-gang coordinating committee two years ago and the gang problem increased. Committees are a political farce.

The people know what must take place! Not reports, not new taxes. Action is needed!

Los Angeles City Attorney Delgadillo, California lawmakers, and the Bush administration must understand gangs are our real homeland security threat.

I feel sure a foreign prison will hold those gangsters for far less that what we must pay for another useless study.
