Oath of Enlistment

So many times I see those who claim to know what others true feelings are. Isn't that a lot like claiming to be a Supreme Being? I believe that's called Blasphemy, is it not?

Many claim that by not supporting our current President, one cannot support our men and women in the military. I'd like to express one thing that completely dispels that notion.

Having proudly served, it was and still is, a requirement to take the "Oath of Enlistment." For those that have not spoken these words, you cannot know how very dear and important they are to me and to those that truly understand it's meaning.

Oath of Enlistment:
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Now let me point out why I find anyone claiming that I do not support our troops fully, an insult to me and to the thousands of that have given service, died, lost limbs, and those that have returned safely. Why the sisters, brothers, mothers, and fathers of those that have served and still serve in the military do not deserve the bad mouthing that those who believe they are so G-- D---- intelligent, give.

The Oath of Enlistment clearly states, "I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice." It DOES NOT state, I must agree with the President.

Any man or woman, serving or served, having taken that oath, and obeyed the Uniform Code of Military Justice, or even read and understood what it says, knows that supporting or not supporting a man that sends our honorable men and women to any war has absolutely no common ground with the support and honor of our troops.

Hundreds of thousands of us have given an oath, the most majestic thing a person can give, to follow the orders given by the President whether he is right or wrong.

This has nothing whatsoever to do with any political affiliation unless YOU simply want to promote your own brand.

Do not listen to the false words some promote, that you are not supported and loved by ALL Americans. That false idea is nothing but a cancer attempting to grow on America.

I DO NOT SUPPORT G. W. Bush, and for any reason that you want believe.
I DO support all of our young men and women in the military and I am proud of every one of them for honoring the Oath of Enlistment they have sworn to uphold. You of the military are the finest of Americans.
